Updated: DIY Blueprint Cleanse

Saturday, April 11, 2015

A while back I created a DIY BluePrint cleanse, a juicing detox that you can do at home without spending so much money on these juices ($195 for this 3 day cleanse, I spent about $37.50 on all the fruits and vegetables). The BluePrint Cleanse is 6 drinks a day for 3 days. On my last post I had just bought my juicer however I also used a blender which is why I think I ended up with more juice, this time I only did the juicer and needed more ingredients which is why I decided to do an update on how many vegetables and fruits you'll need. Also I don't think I really took in account that each juice must be 16oz. otherwise you'll be depriving yourself of more. A detox is a great way into a healthy lifestyle, be aware that after completing a juice cleanse you CANNOT go back to eating regularly. You must start with minimum amounts and nothing extremely unhealthy such as pizza or anything along those junk food lines. Otherwise you will gain a ton of weight because your body has been tricked into storing fat. If you'd like to know what to eat after a cleanse BluePrint has this page made specially for guiding you. Let's get started. Little tip: try to go as organic as possible!

What you'll need:
  • Juicer.
  • Strainer.
  • 18 of 16oz containers (where you will store your juice).
  • Cheesecloth.

There will be 6 juices:

1. Green
  • 6 Romaine leafs.
  • 8 Celery sticks.
  • 3 Cucumbers.
  • 6 Kale leafs.
  • 10 Parsley ribs.
  • 4 Granny Smith Apples.
  • 2 Handfuls of Spinach.
  • 2oz of Lemon.
  • 1 tbsp of Ginger.

2. P.A.M/ Pineapple Apple Mint
  • 3 large Pineapples.
  • 6 Granny Smith Apples.
  • 5tbs of Mint finely chopped.

3. Repeat Green

4. Spicy Lemonade
  • 48oz (1.4lt) of Water.
  • 4oz of Lemon.
  • 1/4 tsp of Cayenne Pepper.
  • 3tbsp of Agave Nectar.

5. Red/C.A.B or Repeat Green
  • 6 Red Apples.
  • 9 Carrots.
  • 6 Beets.
  • 2oz Lemon.
  • 1 1/2 tbsp or Ginger.

6. Cashew Milk
  • 1.5 cup of white raw Cashews.
  • 48oz (1.5lt) of Water.
  • 3tbsp of Vanilla.
  • 1/2 tbsp of Cinnamon.
  • 3-5 tbsp of Agave.
*Leave cashews to soak in the water over night. Blend the next day, run through cheesecloth then proceed adding the agave, vanilla and cinnamon.

That's it! You just saved a ton of money by doing it yourself! Juicing has so many benefits such as better absorption of vitamins, minerals & phytonutrients. As well as easier for the body to digest.
Be good to your body.

*Nutrition from MyFitnessPal (per day).

  3. I used my Vitamix Blender and a nut bag to make these juices. Each recipe gave me about three 16 ounce servings. These juices taste just like the Blueprint juices just way cheaper. Thanks for posting!
