This year was going to be one tough cookie. We had to do so much and yet be so far from our loved ones. It was an adventure itself with just my two boys. Scary yet extremely exciting. My first year as a mother and I wouldn't have my mom near me! Really meant a lot of growing up to do.

Started out the year with a kidney stone! I don't think I ever want to go through this again. However I loved being able to see the amazing dad he is come out through this time. You get the good with the bad.

Valentines Day with this little one has been so much fun dressing him up in cute little outfits.
Meeting his older cousin for the first time and he fell asleep for it. I can't wait for them to grow up and be best friends just like his daddy is with his brother and cousin.

The big move finally arrived and we are on our way to a new lifestyle. Life in England.

My very first mothers day and birthday as a mom was spent in the city of London exploring with these two.

We got to go to the Harry Potter Tour which I love of course. It's still by far my favorite place to go to. I lived my childhood and got to have Jax enjoy it too.

Getting to celebrate 4th of July in England is a little surreal yet it was the most fun I've had in such a long time.

As I do every year (5th or 6th year tradition) I dyed my hair purple. For some reason I seriously love it at first, the fading is not so much fun.

Going to base events and getting to show Jax airplanes and such is what Joe's always wanted. He works on the jets so he hopes his son shares this love too.

Jays first Halloween and I made his by hand since every store was sold out and shipping would take forever. He was Captain Hook.

First Birthday! He had so many first this year but his first has to be the biggest. He got a party in Florida with family and friends along with 2 cake smashes, a bouncy house and even a cotton candy machine! Sweets galore for his Cirque Du Jaxon theme party.

Christmas is a huge deal to me and I always dreamt of making this time incredibly special for Jax. My favorite experience for him was to see Santa's Reindeer. He even got to feed them and pet them. Truly Magical.

Ending the year of 2014 with our 5th year Anniversary some flowers and some wine.

How was your year?

My baby's first birthday is vastly approaching. One of the things I always wanted to do was his smash cake session. It was originally supposed to be done in England before our trip but due to the cake making lady I wanted not being available for the date I needed I figured I'd be better off doing it myself and with help of my best friend we pulled it off! The night before I got baking and created this beautiful giant cupcake! (thank you YouTube for the tutorials) It was funfetti of course and the bottom was chocolate. The tent was a prop I created myself because I just couldn't seem to find the right type I was looking for without it costing a fortune. Especially for a shoot, it wasn't worth it! If you're interested in buying this teepee it is up for sale on my Etsy account here. The rest of the props were thanks to ebay and the (ugly) number 1 balloon is from Party City. I say ugly because I originally had this gorgeous gold 40" number one balloon (not shaped like a penis) when I went to get it inflated as soon as I walked out it just flew away... the genius that worked at the balloon department didn't tie it right! I was furious! Anyway this one did the job I guess. I may sound so stupid to get annoyed at this but you have to understand that I'm a perfectionist to my vision. One little detail can ruin everything for me. I'll deal with it though. Guess I can't have my cake and eat it to (hehe get it?) I still loved the shoot and that Jax loved his cake. These are pictures I will forever cherish.
